Eph 1:13-14
…in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory. [NKJV]

When I was requested to preach in a crusade for the first time, I kept asking the Lord what He would have me speak about. I perceived in my spirit that I wasn’t to preach the usual sermon aimed at calling people to receive Christ; my friend Evangelist Uche had ministered the previous day and the Lord moved mightily in drawing many souls to the Kingdom. As I pressed further, I was led to teach the people about how to be a Christian and remain a Christian. This all led to me teaching them practically about the Holy Spirit and His power in the life of a believer. We (evangelist Uche and I) ministered the baptism of the Holy Ghost to many of the people on the crusade ground that day, and I left there knowing I had done what God wanted.

Many times, we minister salvation to people but sometimes forget to minister the Holy Spirit to them, yet it is the Holy Spirit who would preserve their salvation. The Bible reveals that the Holy Spirit is the seal and the guarantee of our salvation (also see Col 1:22). A seal has many functions, one of them is to preserve.

Go into today asking the Lord to empower you win true followers of Jesus Christ.

Prayer: Thank God for your salvation. Ask the Lord for the empowerment of the Holy Spirit today. Amen. Not born again? Click this link: http://bit.ly/1iTOmol
