Eph 3:6
And this is
God's plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in
the riches inherited by God's children. Both are part of the same body, and
both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus.
Further
Study: Rom 2:27-29
This may not
look like a very big deal to you right now if you are not from a Jewish
background and you read the preceding text, but it indeed is a great mystery.
There was a time in this world when people like me who are not Jews could not
share in the riches inherited by God’s Children. The only people who had hope
of having a relationship with God were the physical descendants of Abraham, a
man who walked closely with God and was blessed by God.
Now what
exactly are these riches that are talked about in our bible text? This is the
Shekinah glory and presence; protection, power and enablement to prosper among
other things, this is what a righteous Jew believed was with Him wherever he
went. He believed that the Lord of the heavens and the earth was His shepherd
and he would not want (remember that psalm was written by a Jew before Jesus
came).
We who are
born again are now partakers of the inherited riches and are children of God
indeed. We are now the real children of Abraham according Romans 2:28-29
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for choosing me and making me your own. I pray that
these blessings will find full expression in my life today. Take the entire glory
lord God, in Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen
By Abraham
