Prov 9:1-6
Wisdom has
built her house;
she has
carved its seven columns.
2 She has
prepared a great banquet,
mixed the
wines, and set the table.
3 She has
sent her servants to invite everyone to come.
She calls
out from the heights overlooking the city.
4 "Come
in with me," she urges the simple.
To those who
lack good judgment, she says,
5
"Come, eat my food,
and drink
the wine I have mixed.
6 Leave your
simple ways behind, and begin to live;
Learn to use
good judgment."
One thing I have
learned over the years is that God wants His children to be very wise. God who
is a wise God wants us to be like Him in our application of wisdom.
In the New
Testament, many of the parable Jesus gave of servants who did not deliver what
was required of their master were often referred to as foolish servants or
foolish virgins.
It takes
wisdom to operate in the kingdom of God. God has made all wisdom available for
you as His child.
You need
wisdom to function effectively in this world as a child of God. At this point I
want to remind you that such wisdom as the world gives is not wisdom at all but
foolishness in sight of God.
James 1:5
If any of
you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and
upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Prayer: my
father in heaven. I worship you for who you are and for how you want me to have
your superior nature; I thank you for your grace. Dear lord I ask for your
wisdom to fill my heart that I may live the life you have called me to live, In
Jesus name. Amen
