Who God Speaks to

Heb 1:1-3
Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. 2 And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe.
In the past, God spoke to our fathers through the prophets and ‘holy’ people who consecrated themselves to Him and lived with an extra awareness of His existence. If you read the Old Testament, you will see a number of non-Jewish prophets who had a relationship with God and who God spoke to; they include people like Balaam, Job etc.
But today, God now speaks to us through His son Jesus. Now the only way to access God is through Jesus Christ. Any man cannot claim to have any form of relationship with God if He is not in Christ Jesus. The reason is because when Jesus came, He created a new and better covenant or testament/dispensation between mankind and God; thereby doing away with the old one.
I just want to remind you that if you are born again, you have the rear privilege of having a solid relationship with the God and creator of the universe. In fact you are His Child. Don’t take slightly this privilege but walk in a constant awareness and utilization of it.
Prayer: Heavenly fathers, thank you for your word today, thank you for choosing me and making me your own. I pray that unlike Esau I will not take slightly my inheritance in you, that I will live under your dominion. Amen
