Ps 103:4
Who redeemeth thy life from
destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
KJV
The lord did only
save you from destruction when you were born again, He also continues to save
you because you are His possession.
If you pluck a wild
flower and then take it to your backyard because you want to beautify your yard
with it, you will prevent weeds from the flower even though it is now in your
backyard. You redeemed this flower from
the wild and brought it to your backyard, yet you still continue to redeem it from
weeds because you have a great plan in bringing the flower.
God has redeemed us
from the world and brought us into His kingdom. He has made us His own. He
still redeems us daily from destruction by putting His holy Spirit within us
who is our seal and guarantee (see Ephesians 1)
The fact that you
are reading this devotional today is a testament to God’s redeeming power.
I want you to go
into today with a thankful heart to the lord for redeeming your life from
destruction.
Prayer: thank you
heavenly father for saving me and making me your own. I pray that you give me
the grace to abide in your will and grow. In Jesus name I pray.
