Rom
8:26-30
26 And the
Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don't know what God wants
us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be
expressed in words. 27 And the
Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit
pleads for us believers in harmony with God's own will. 28 And we know that God causes
everything to work together* for the
good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. 29 For God knew his people in
advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the
firstborn among many brothers and sisters. 30 And having
chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave
them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave
them his glory.
NLT
Someone asked,
even when I’ve done something wrong and feel so bad and guilty, I still find
that I am able to pray in tongues(in the Holy Ghost), why?
The answer is because
the Holy Spirit helps our weaknesses. He helps us when we cannot pray. There are
sometimes when your heart is overwhelmed and meaningful words may not just
come, the Holy Spirit helps you at these times so you can pray and get back your
spiritual strength. It is important to be filled with the Holy because He does
not only strengthen you to live the kingdom life; He helps you in times of
weaknesses. I must add at this point that when there is weakness because of
sin, there should be genuine repentance and a determination to forsake the sin.
Go into today
filled with the Holy Spirit and walking in the reality of His presence. Jesus
said ‘If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children:
how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask
him?’ (Luke 11:13 KJV)
Prayer: Dear Heavenly father. I thank you for your word today. My
father I ask that you fill me with your Holy Spirit right now. I pray that I will
walk throughout today in the might of your Spirit. In Jesus name I pray. Amen
