1Timothy 4:12 “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”
KJV
First of all, your being young does not warrant anyone to downgrade, look down on or despise you. Paul advised Timothy not just to be proud of that phase of his life, but also to make the most of it. Don’t let anyone despise you or make you feel bad just because you are young, inspite of where you are coming from. Your background does not in any way disqualify you for the kind of future God has planned for you. Carry a healthy self-image or self-esteem. See yourself through the eyes of God.
One of the ways to make the most of your youthfulness is by discovering who you are in God. Once you have an insight into God’s purpose for your life as a young person, and you start walking and working towards that purpose, nobody will be able to despise you or treat you as unimportant because you are young.
Go into today determined to serve God with your youthful strength and zeal. Identify things God has been laying on your heart and begin to do them from today.
Prayer: Father, thank you for my youthfulness, please help me use it for your glory in Your dear Son’s name, Jesus our Lord, amen.
