Psalms 90:10
Seventy years are given to us! Some even live to eighty.
But even the best years are filled with pain and trouble; soon they disappear, and we fly away.
NLT
Tic, tic says the clock, tic, tic, what you have to do, do quick. I was thought that as a child, but this is more real now than it was then.
This is only a reminder of the inevitable, it is sure that we are growing old, for once I was a child but now an adult. What am I on earth for, will I be able to finish my assignment? We celebrate birthdays, and graduations, we win medals and awards, people chant our names, singing our praises but, we seem not to understand that every day spent is your total days minus one.
Life is short; death is inevitable; judgment comes after death. How prepared are you for eternity?
Let us pray today like David did saying "teach me to number my days, that I may apply my heart unto wisdom."
Prayer: thank you Lord for this reminder, help me to live daily doing what you brought me here to do. Teach me to number my days, that I may apply my heart unto wisdom.
