Eph 3:20
'Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.' KJV
As believers, there are measures of power that is at work within us (see John 1:12). The extent to which our prayers are powerful is related to the extent of the power within us.
There are two basic ways we can increase the measure of power within: by effectual and fervent prayers and by the revelation of God's word.
'The prayer of a good man is full of power in its working' (see James 5:16b BBE). Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit after the forty days fasting and prayers (see Luke 4:14). The scriptures make us understand that we are bound to do greater works than Jesus did (see John 14:12), but Jesus said to the disciples that couldn't cast out a particular demon that '...this kind goeth not out but by prayers and fasting' (Matt 17:21). This is true because the more we engage in fasting and prayers the more power that is being released within us.
Go into today knowing that whenever you pray fervently we receive power.
PRAYERS: Lord, help me to always pray fervently. Amen

I bless God for the power that works in me.. God give me grace to pray fervently
But I know of some people that always fast and have no power, yet I know of others who don't fast as much and they manifest more of God's grace and power... Why is that
Fasting without faith is dead... Fasting is not the end, it's just a means to an end. And you should ultimately do as the Spirit leads and don't take fasting out of the table either because it is a potent spiritual exercise
