Titus 2:11-12
11. For the grace of God (His unmerited favor and blessing) has come forward (appeared) for the deliverance from sin and the eternal salvation for all mankind. 12. It has trained us to reject and renounce all ungodliness (irreligion) and worldly (passionate) desires, to live discreet (temperate, self-controlled), upright, devout (spiritually whole) lives in this present world.

A conversation went thus:
Gideon: when I sin, I ask for forgiveness and believe God will forgive me.
Daniel: no! God has forgiven you already; you don't have to ask for it again.
Gideon: I don't agree with you.
Daniel: I'll explain, I live under grace and I believe that since the day I gave my life to Christ he washed away my sins and I can no longer sin, even if I sin, it is not considered as sin any longer because grace covers me.
Grace does not excuse a sinner; it does not make you free from judgment when you remain in sin. Grace does not say “sin but don't worry, I've paid for it already”, Grace says “repent and I'll teach you to stay away from sin". Note brethren that sin is sin in the New Testament as much as it is in the old. The grace of God empowers you to live above sin; it does not encourage you to continue in sin.
Go into today knowing that the grace of God does not excuse sin, rather, it teaches you to live a righteous, godly and sober life.
Prayer: thank you father for your word. As I submit to grace, please help me by your Holy Spirit to live above sin, in Jesus name I pray. Amen
