Prov 16:3

Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed. [NLT]

When Akindele was sure that it was right for him to start the barbers shop, he raised money and went searching for a suitable shop. He decided he was going to use a place that was convenient for people to reach on their way back from work, with adequate parking space, and a place that had fair power supply because he intended to air condition the shop. Someone told him that there was a spot in one very good place in town, it met all his requirements but the shop was too big; he would have to pay 100,000 Naira more than he budgeted. He searched for somewhere else but could not find another place that met all his requirements. He kept praying as he searched. He later decided to take the extra-large shop and asked the Lord to help him.

Deaconess Abutu; a church member who knew about his project asked him how it was going and he gave her an update. He was shocked when her husband gave him a cheque for 100,000 Naira the next Sunday.

One way to discern that God’s hand is in something is that He sends help when you run into difficulty and call upon him. Notice that because God wants you to do something does not mean you will not meet difficulties, what it means is that the Lord will help you when you call on Him (see Psalms 3:4, Psalms 34:4)

Go into today accessing your projects and discerning whether they are in accordance with God’s purpose for you.

PRAYER:

Ask the Lord for help in any project you are doing that you may be finding difficult. He will hear you.

Ask the Lord for wisdom in doing your work.

Thank him for the success of what he has entrusted into your hand.
