Rom 6:1-2
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? [KJV]

Sin attracts destruction against us; grace repels this destruction which is rightful consequence for sin. The more there is sin, the more there is grace needed to repel the consequence. This (grace) is all because of God’s great love for us. He loves us who don’t deserve His love. How do we respond to this great love? We respond by loving God with all our hearts.
If a man is drowning in the middle of the ocean and someone he doesn’t know comes with a boat to rescue him, that person has saved his life. If the man jumps back into the ocean because he knows there is now a boat, he is an unreasonable man. The sharks may be waiting the next time he jumps into the water.
A man who has been saved by grace but later continues to sin because he knows there is grace is an unreasonable man. He is playing with danger.
Sin is not just disobedience against God, if it was, God would simply have forgiven us and Jesus wouldn’t have to die. Sin is a transgression of the law of spiritual life; it is a toxic spiritual force that has to be atoned for (cleansed). That is why Jesus needed to come and die to atone for our sins. Your salvation is free but it is not cheap; it cost God His only begotten son.
Go into today determined to Love God more than ever before. This love will keep you from sin.
Prayer: Ask the Lord to open your eyes to see the depths of His love for you.
Ask for more grace to live above sin. Not saved? http://bit.ly/1iTOmol
