Deji wanted to know if it was the will of God for him to marry Kemi. He prayed and fasted for three days. At the end of the three days he got two answers: 'Yes and No'. He was confused because he did not know how to differentiate the voice of the Holy Spirit from other voices.

We sometimes find ourselves in situations where we wish we could physically see the Lord to ask Him what we should do. This is what the Bible refers as wisdom; knowing the best thing to do per time.

In praying to seek God’s face over an issue, you may want to consider fasting because fasting increases spiritual sensitivity.

I’m sure you know that the Holy Spirit is not the only spirit in the spirit realm. It is therefore expedient to keep your heart and mind confined only to the frequency from the Holy Spirit.

One way to guard your heart and protect it from unwanted spiritual signals is by applying yourself to the word of God. Anything contrary to God’s counsel that is allowed to dwell in your heart is a seed of sin (read PS 119:11).

The word of God changes the way we think; it changes our outlook to life. The word of God has this effect on a person whose spirit has been regenerated. Because of this effect, our minds are no longer able to process signals that do not come from God.

As you go into this day, allow the word of God to change you into a more perfect Christian by strictly guiding your life according to it.

Prayer: please help me heavenly Father to regard your word in my heart, so that I may not sin against you. Amen. (read Ps 119:11)
