2 Peter 1:2
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord [KJV]
After yesterday’s Devotional on grace, I got this question from one of our readers and I think the answer will be very helpful.
Question: Do we all have equal grace or do we have grace more than each other?
Answer: We all have equal access to God’s unlimited grace, but we don’t all maximize this access. That is why some walk in God’s gifts while others don’t. Grace and faith is given to us because of our relationship with God.
Grace is multiplied because of spiritual knowledge and understanding of God. This knowledge produces faith in us. It is with this faith that we can access God's grace.
Things like past experiences could be the reason why people don’t walk in the faith required to access God’s grace for exploits. Anything in your heart that hinders the entrance of God’s grace is a spiritual strong hold. Strong holds are in the minds of people, and the way to deal with them is by using the most powerful weapon of God’s word. It pulls down strong holds by presenting better evidences and bringing light.
Strongholds are thought patterns that perpetually quench faith. We shall examine them more closely next time.
Go into today determined to praise God’s word above your current circumstances. Let the word of God stir faith in your heart and let this faith produce action. As you act in faith, you will see God’s grace in action.
