Acts 15:11 (NKJV)
But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved in the same manner as they."

The early church was faced with an issue. Because the church started among the Jews, and Jesus himself came through the Jewish race, it was quite difficult for the Jews to separate faith in Christ from Judaism. There was a tendency to still trust in the laws given by Moses as a way through which they would obtain salvation. But the Apostles knew better. They knew that it was by grace and not the works of the law that they are being saved. They knew that the law was a yoke that they could not bear. And grace was the only reason why they would meet the righteous demands of God’s throne.

God’s plan for us is for us to abide in Christ and Christ in us (John 15:1). He wants the life that we now live to be lived by the faith of the son of God who loved us and gave His life for us (Gal 2:20). This means that the manual for our lives is the word of Christ. Our lives belong to Him and we are subjected to His government. This is only possible by the empowerment of the grace of God. We access this grace by walking in faith. Faith comes by [hearing and hearing] by the word of God(see Rom 10:17). The hearing and hearing process takes the word from the domain of the mind to the domain of the heart where it becomes productive.

As you go into today, determine to depend solely on the grace of God. Quit depending on your effort and start depending on the spiritually supplied strength empowering you to please God in your spirit, soul, and body.

Ask the Lord to help you please Him by walking in faith always. Not Yet saved? Click ☞ http://bit.ly/1iTOmol
