Eph 4:18-19 [NET]
They are darkened in their understanding, being alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardness of their hearts.

We see in the text above that darkened understanding is the reason certain people are still alienated from the life of God.


One fundamental difference between a Christian and an unbeliever is spiritual knowledge. We became Christians because of our faith in Christ Jesus. This faith came because of knowledge of the truth.

Mere hearing doesn’t bring knowledge; it is understanding that brings knowledge. Spiritual understanding in God's kingdom is facilitated by the Spirit of God.

Many Christians are unable to walk in the life of God because they are lacking in spiritual understanding that makes this possible. The more of God you know, the more you will experience His divine nature and grace (2 Peter 1:2).

Go into today asking the Lord to fill you will the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. Read Col 1:9-11
