So, brothers and sisters, I could not speak to you as spiritual people, but instead as people of the flesh, as infants in Christ. I fed you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready.
One day Dare was praying and the Lord opened his eyes to see the state of the church he attended. He saw in that vision that almost all the members of that church were babies wearing pampers and having feeding bottles in their mouths. He saw that because of this, they were unable to push back the spiritual wickedness that was operating in their territory, as a matter of fact; they couldn’t resist its influence but were dominated by it.
When all a Christian focuses on are the things he can get in this world through his faith, and he does not really care much about advancing the kingdom of God, that is a sign that the Christian is still a spiritual baby.
As a Christian grows to spiritual maturity, he becomes more responsible in God’s kingdom and is not dominated by self-centeredness. He starts to become occupied with fulfilling his divine assignment and increasing the influence of Christ’s kingdom here on earth. His prayer points graduate from just petitions to intercessions for others, and kingdom centered prayers.
You cannot walk in the fullness of your authority in Christ if you remain a spiritual baby. Just like in the physical, babies have little power and do not understand authority nor can they wield it, in the spirit realm, spiritual babies do not understand spiritual authority and cannot command it. Some people have believed for years, but have remained spiritual babies.
Go into today examining yourself and asking if you have grown spiritually.
Prayer: Ask the Lord that from today, you want to experience unprecedented spiritual growth. Amen.
