LOVE UNCONDITIONALLY

🎧Audio Devotional & Bible here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1259

Matthew 24:12 (KJV)
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

Tade was cheated time and time again by fake believers who sought to take advantage of his brotherly love and devotion to the body. It got to the point he now found it hard to love people who claimed to be brethren. He didn’t know that the enemy’s game plan was to make his love wax cold and quench his faith.

You see, it is the same heart with which you love the Lord that you also love His brethren. If your heart has taken up the attribute of love for the Lord, it will be impossible for you not to love His brethren and even other people created in His image. Walking in this kind of love is a product of faith in your heart, for faith working through love is the fruit of the renewed heart. Waning love ultimately leads to an eroding away of the faith in your heart. The victory that overcomes the world comes because of your faith (1 John 5:4).

The prince of this world tries to steal your faith by proliferating iniquity in the world. He knows that if your love [for the brethren and for other people created in the image of God] waxes cold, your faith will also wax cold, and you will no more be able to be an overcomer.

The Lord has forewarned us that the love of many will wax cold because iniquity will abound. One reason He gives us this warning is because He does not want you to be among the ‘many’ whose love waxes cold.

Go into today remembering that you have been given the grace to walk in the divine nature. This nature is one that loves unconditionally.
Prayer: Ask the Lord to help you love unconditionally.

FAITH COMES BY HEARING

🎧Audio Devotional & Bible here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1258

Romans 10:17 (NKJV)
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

When Kalu got to the university, he started attending a fellowship that believed in the baptism and power of the Holy Spirit. He saw people who just became born again prophesying and casting out evils, but he had been a believer for years and wasn't walking in the power of the Holy Spirit. This was because his faith was never stirred in that direction).

But as Kalu started being taught about spiritual gifts and power, he realized that he now found the ability and faith to walk in them. This faith came by hearing.

I have seen many Christians who abound in Christian virtue and character, but do not abound in the power of the Holy Spirit and Spiritual gifts. Many of them have been cheated by the enemy because of this. Yet there are other Christians who are still greatly lacking in Christian character and virtue, but no one can doubt the presence of the power and authority of the Spirit in their lives. They are like many of the Corinthian Christians who were not lacking in any spiritual gift but were yet very carnal (see 1 Cor 1:7, 3:3). Such Christians have the faith and grace to walk in spiritual gifts because they have heard the word of God concerning that area.

Go into today knowing that you will have faith to walk in spiritual gifts and power when you are properly taught in that area. This applies to all other things available to us in Christ.
Also remember that not being a fruitful Christian is a big risk (see John 15:2, Matt 7:19). Your fruits include the fruit of the spirit.

Prayer: Ask the Lord to help you abound in Spiritual fruits and gifts. Amen.

GRACE AND HEALING

🎧Audio Devotional & Bible here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1257

James 5:16 (NLT)
Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.

Damola was very sick. He prayed about it but the sickness didn’t go away. He would normally pray in the spirit for a while if he felt the symptoms of any sickness and it would leave. He had lived like this in God’s divine health without using any drugs for years.

But this time around, he prayed and prayed, and the symptoms of the sickness did not go away. He confessed the word of God and did every other thing he knew to do. He even saw a doctor and used drugs, but he was still sick and even getting weaker. He later decided to call his pastor to pray for him and lay hands on him. While he was talking with his pastor, he saw the need to confess a sin that had kept him in guilt for some time.

After confessing the sin to his pastor, for the first time in months, his conscience was now clear before God like it used to be. He started recovering the next day.

Christians who walk in grace through constant fellowship with the Lord God also walk in divine health. Unknown to Damola, the hidden the guilt in his heart was the reason why the grace of God [for divine health] was no more flowing in his life.

The source of our grace is our fellowship with the Lord God. Nothing hinders this fellowship like a guilty conscience.

Go into today remembering that the source of your healing and good health is your constant fellowship with the Lord. This fellowship supplies the grace we need for life and godliness.

Prayer: Ask the Lord to help you walk in closer fellowship with Him from today.

HE FORGIVES ALL YOUR INIQUITIES

 🎧Audio Devotional & Bible here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1256

Psalm 103:3 (KJV)
3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases

If someone ran into my parked car and destroyed my bumper and the back lights, but then he comes to beg me to forgive him. If I say ‘I forgive you, you can go’ what that means is that I will use my money to pay for the repairs of the damage he had done.

Many do not realize that when God says ‘I forgive you’ it is because he has paid for the sin and is repairing the spiritual damage the sin has caused. Forgiveness is not cheap, it cost God the death of His only begotten son.

Many Christians are not as thankful as they should be to God for the forgiveness of their sins. This is why they are not as fruitful as they should be.

The reason why there are diseases in the world is because there is sin in the world. The wages of sin is death (Rom 6:23). Receiving the forgiveness of sins is the beginning of receiving your lasting healing. That’s why Jesus would sometimes see a sick person, and before he would say ‘you are healed’, he would say ‘your sins are forgiven’ (see Luke 5:19-21).

James 5:15 says: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and IF HE HAVE COMMITTED SINS, THEY SHALL BE FORGIVEN HIM.

Go into today knowing that if God is able and willing to forgive your sins, He is also willing and able to heal your every disease. If He is able and willing to keep you righteous, He is also able and willing to keep you physically and spiritually healthy all the days of your life.

Prayer: thank the Lord for forgiving your iniquities and healing your diseases. Ask for His grace to be healthy all the days of your life.

FORGET NOT ALL HIS BENEFITS

🎧Audio Devotional & Bible here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1255

Psalm 103:2 (KJV)
2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.

Kemi’s car was really giving her trouble. She had spent a lot of money on it, but the car was still giving her trouble. The day she went late to office and missed a very important meeting because her car broke down on the road, she broke down in tears because she was frustrated.

Somewhere in her heart Kemi was displeased with God because she had prayed about this and the problem was only getting worse. The car now became a reason for her passive anger and unthankfulness toward God. She had quickly forgotten how the car came through God’s miraculous intervention when she prayed.

Many of us become unthankful in our hearts because of some issues we are facing. We forget all the many other things that God has done for us. We magnify our problems by focusing on them. But we are to rather magnify the Lord by focusing on Him and thanking Him for what He has been doing. This is the way to victory.

You cannot be truly thankful in your heart and have a heavy unhappy heart. That’s why God says ‘in everything give thanks’ and ‘rejoice evermore’ (see 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). A thankful heart cannot be heavy or sad.

Go into today remembering that one of the signs that you are not thankful is that your heart will not be joyful. The next time your heart wants to become heavy, remember all the good things the Lord has done for you and let thanksgiving lead joy into your heart.

Prayer: Start by thanking God for the gift of life and the ability to read this devotional. There are millions of people in this world without the ability to read, and many without the opportunity to read from a smartphone or computer.

DEVICES OF THE DEVIL 2

🎧Audio Devotional & Bible here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1254

2 Corinthians 2:11 (KJV)
Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Samson failed because of his inability to control his strength. But the devil can also take advantage of our weaknesses. That was what happened in the life of Judas.

Judas was one of the twelve disciples of Jesus Christ, it was given to him by reason of election to sit on one of the twelve most powerful thrones in the kingdom (Luke 22:30). What a privilege it was! But his inability to subject his weakness to Christ’s strength led him to hell and his position given to another (Act 1:20). What was this weakness? It was the love of money.

You can now see that the devil can take advantage of your strengths or weaknesses when you don’t subject them to the power of Christ. You can only do valiantly through Christ because even depending on your own strength is fruitless (Psalms 60:11). No wonder Paul said “my strength is made perfect in weakness” therefore “I am what I am now by the grace of God” (2 Cor. 12:9, 1Cor 15:10 KJV).

This is the place you must come to; that place where you depend on Christ's strength to do all things. It is at this place that you can resist the devil and he will flee you.

Go into today depending on God’s strength in everything you do. He promised to help you (Isaiah 41:10). Commit your weakness to God today and His strength will take over.

Prayer: pray for grace to be subject to God.

DEVICES OF THE DEVIL

🎧Audio Devotional & Bible here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1253

2 Corinthians 2:11 (KJV)
…Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

In the Book of Judges, we see that Samson had a peculiar gift of power. He did wonderful things: he could remove city gates with his hands, kill lions, win battles alone, and break off any chain. As long as his consecration was maintained, Samson could do all these wonders by the power of God. But Samson failed when he fell into immorality and broke the Lord’s testimony (personalized instruction).

I have noticed that when many of us first met Christ, we were more zealous and could even tell which direction [of ministry] God is leading us. But as time passes, many of us lose sight of our calling and begin to only wish we would make heaven.

One of the devices of Satan is to corrupt that part of you or gift in you that should be used for God’s kingdom. For example, a prophet who should see and hear from God may begin to watch immoral movies and listen to worldly music, thereby corrupting his vision. This will eventually exaggerate his weaknesses so much that his strengths are pushed to a corner.

One way not to fall into these devices is to maintain a steady and constant relationship with God through fellowship with the Holy Spirit and fellowship with God’s children, the study of the word of God and praying always. Remember that if God will not help you, you cannot help yourself. Read Psalm 60:11

Go into today knowing that when we are yielded to God, the devil will not be able to get an advantage over us.

Prayer: Ask the Lord to help you fulfill your destiny and be fruitful in every good work.

YOU WILL STILL SEE HIS FAVOR

🎧Audio Devotional & Bible here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1252

Psalms 27:13 (NET)
Where would I be if I did not believe I would experience the Lord’s favor in the land of the living?

Edet went through a season in his life that looked like it wouldn’t end. It was as if the heavens were closed against him and everything was working against him. He prayed, fasted, prophesied, and did everything he knew to do. But that season came to pass in the fullness of time.

Looking back at that time in his life, he realized that the reason his faith did not fail was because of a small but steady and consistent knowing in his heart that he would still see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. This knowing kept him from sinking and fainting. He indeed lived to see the goodness of the Lord.

God's word to someone today is that you will soon see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Things will not always continue the way they have been but you will see good things from the Lord that will make you glad and rejoice. The Lord will prepare a table before you in the presence of your enemies, and you will experience an overflow of His blessings in every area of your life.

Go into today knowing that God who saved David from the jaws of death and made him king over Israel is the same God you worship. He will bring you into the greater days of your life if you continue to rely on Him in confidence (see Psa 27:13-14).

Prayer: Thank God because He is the one who lifts you up in His time. Thank Him because you know that when He blesses, no one can curse.

FAITHFULL IN LITTLE

🎧Audio Devotional & Bible here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1251

Luke 16:10 (KJV)
He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

Patricia had a very small shop where she sold provisions. She opened early to sell and would sometimes close very late. Although her profit was small because of the size of her shop, she put her best to it.

Very early in the morning one day, before the big supermarkets opened, a very wealthy man needed some toiletries but the big shops around were not opened yet. He eventually located Patricia's small shop. Even though all that she had in stock were not enough for him, he was so impressed with her diligence that he gave Patricia his address and offered her a contract to start supplying his companies with toiletries and consumables. This was how Patricia’s financial fortune turned around for good because she was faithful with the little entrusted to her.

God has committed something into every hand. However small it may seem, all that He requires of us is faithfulness. One of the reasons many have not entered into greatness is because they have not been faithful in the little they have.

Go into today changing your attitude towards that little thing God has committed into your hands. Resolve to be faithful in all you do.

Prayer: Lord. please help me to be obedient and faithful. Amen.

AVOID FOOLISH CONTROVERSIES

🎧Audio Devotional & Bible here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1250

Titus 3:9 (NASB)
But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and strife and disputes about the Law, for they are unprofitable and worthless.

Imagine your best man (or maid of honor) walks up to you on your wedding day, and says as you sit reclining with your spouse "Do you know divorce is real and it can happen to you?"
You will probably blink several times and say "I'm not sure it's healthy to be running around so much without having eaten since morning. Have some food, or at least take a drink"
And that would be a good response. Because..."Divorce?!", "Where is that coming from?"

That should be your exact reaction when a Christian goes about asking if you can lose your salvation.
Like our best man, such a fellow has been running around playing church, and has not been feeding on the word.
My pastor says something is wrong with those who like to ask "boundary" questions. Such are indicative of a dearth of fellowship.

However, let's say you wake the following morning, and your wife is sitting up in bed saying to herself out loud “I can never lose my marriage! Oh, ha-ha! I can never lose my marriage!!" "Whatever I do or fail to do will never change my marital status!" You will begin to suspect that the same bug that bit your best man feasted on your wife as well....
This is what it sounds like when we go around saying "What I do or fail to do can never affect my salvation"

People who are in proper relationship with the Savior and the word of His grace do not talk like that. They simply cannot.

Go into today remembering that as a result of your salvation, you walk in the light where there is grace, mercy, cleansing, and an inheritance. Amen.

RECEIVING THROUGH HIS PROMISES 3

🎧Audio Devotional & Bible here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1249

2 Pet 1:4 (NLT)
And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world's corruption caused by human desires.

Femi noticed that Dare was not growing spiritually, and he wondered why this was happening. They used to pray together and had many things in common. He later noticed that Dare was not very interested in the word of God, he was more interested in reading motivational books than reading, listening and meditating on God’s word. He hardly read spiritual books, and he was never really dedicated to reading his Bible.

It is because of God’s great promises that we can become partakers of His divine nature. Christians who know these promises are more likely to walk in the divine nature than Christians who do not know these promises. We know God’s promises by hearing and meditating on His word. God’s word brings light into the dark places of our lives and empowers us to walk in His holiness (see Psa 119: 105, 9).

What makes your body grow is the food you eat, what makes your spirit grow is the word of God you receive and understand (see Matt 4:4).

Go into today remembering that spiritual growth never ends for the believer. You must continue to grow into the fullness of Christ and remain productive. One way this happens is as you feed your soul with the word of God and align with its righteousness each time you notice misalignment.

Prayer: Ask the Lord to help you grow into the fullness of the stature of Christ.

STRENGTH OR WEAKNESS

🎧Audio Devotional & Bible here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1248

2 Corinthians 12:9 (KJV)
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

When Darlington was eight months old, he could speak clearly. At that tender age, he did things considered impossible for his age. He was therefore referred to as a genius. Darlington grew to be very popular because he was exceptional. However, he became very proud and arrogant.  At twenty-one, he had acquired a Ph.D. It was shortly after this that he met Christ. Christ stripped him of pride and arrogance, but his fame and intellect remained with him. These he used to serve God; he wrote many books (scientific and gospel), tracts and articles which were best-selling because of the fame he already had.

We all have our strengths and weaknesses. When our weaknesses are subject to God's authority, they give expression to God’s strength, but when we fail to subject our ‘strengths’ to the Lord’s government, they become our biggest weakness. Our gifts, talents, and endowment may either constitute strengths or weaknesses depending on who rules them.

Who are you subject to? Who is lord over you? The answer to these questions will determine whether your gifts, talents, and endowment will constitute strength or weakness to you when viewed in the light of God’s kingdom.

Go into today knowing that God is interested in every detail of your life. The weaknesses you struggle with today will cease to be when you subject them to God’s strength.

Prayer: pray that God’s strength will be made perfect in your weakness.

ENTER HIS PRESENCE

🎧Audio Devotional & Bible here☞ http://bit.ly/audio1247

Psalm 100:4-5 (ESV)
Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise! Give thanks to Him; bless His name! For the Lord is good; His steadfast love endures forever, and His faithfulness to all generations.

Dare: what does it mean to enter His Gates?

Femi: it means to come into the presence of the Lord

Dare: but the Lord now dwells within us through His spirit, why do I need to enter His presence again.

Femi: Because right now you are in my presence. Even though the Lord dwells within you, you need to enter His presence. His presence is a higher place your spirit can access. This is possible because He dwells in you. The Lord dwells in you, but He also wants you to dwell in His presence.

The Lord says ‘where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them’ (Matt 18:20). One thing we must always do when we gather in His name is to give Him thanks and praise Him. The Lord inhabits the praises of His people (see Psalm 22:3). This means where His people praise Him, there He is.

When you give God thanks and praise from your heart, it ushers you into a higher spiritual realm more easily. This realm is called the divine realm.

Go into today remembering that the easiest way to ascend to His presence is through thanksgiving and praise. This is a realm that is most powerful. This is the realm where we multiply grace and receive wisdom. God’s will is for us to dwell in His presence always. This is the reason He wants us to be thankful and joyful always (see 1 Thess 5:16-18).
PRAYER: Father I ask that you help me dwell in your presence always.

RECEIVING THROUGH HIS PROMISES 2

🎧Audio Devotional & Bible here☞ http://bit.ly/aud1246

2 Corinthians 1:20 (ESV)
For all the promises of God find their Yes in [Christ]. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory.

There was a very powerful king who did not fear anybody and was accountable to no one. Even though he was not a person moved by emotions or sentiments, he was a man of his word. His word was his bond and he would rather lose his kingdom than break his promise or fail to keep his word.

One woman kept coming to make a petition in the palace, but he was not ready to answer her because he was very busy. The day she brought a promissory note he had written several years ago, he immediately attended to her and answered her request because not doing so would mean breaking his promise and violating his integrity.

God is the God of integrity, He exalts His word above all, and He watches over His word to fulfill it (see Psalm 138:2, Jer 1:12). The Bible contains His promissory notes to His children [adopted through Christ]. When we pray using His promises as the basis for our prayer, God answers us because He keeps His promises as a matter of integrity.

The spirit realm is very complicated and legalistic. There may be strong legal reasons hindering you from receiving what you have been asking, but there is no reason so strong that it would make God break His integrity. His integrity is at stake when our prayers are rooted in His promises.

Go into today, making the promises of God the basis for your petitions. This is the most powerful way to pray.

Prayer: Lord, please help me know and claim all your promises to me.

For all the promises of God find their Yes in [Christ]. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory.

Jade had a problem that made her pray and cry almost every night. One day she was listening to the word of God, she heard a promise that spoke directly about her problem, she was first excited, but she later said  'this promise only applied to the Hebrew women and not for me'. She didn’t realize that the promises of God are actually more real in Christ than they were in the old covenant. When she knew that the promise she heard on the radio was actually meant for her because she was in Christ, she claimed and received her miracle.
It is the same God that Abraham and the other patriarchs of the faith worshiped that we worship. But we can even have a closer relationship with Him through Christ Jesus.

God’s word is the most powerful force in the whole universe. When God releases His word in the form of promises, if you believe them and receive them in Christ's name with thanksgiving, they will be fulfilled in your life just as you have believed.

Go into today remembering that being in Christ is superior to being a Jew. All the promises of God (even the ones that the Jews could not receive) can be received by you through Christ Jesus. Let your prayers take root in the word and promises of God. This is the most effective way to pray and receive from God.

Prayer: Ask the Lord to help you know and claim all His promises for you.

THOSE WHO TRUST IN THE LORD

 🎧Audio Devotional & Bible here☞ http://bit.ly/aud1244

Psalm 34:10 (NLT)
Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the LORD will lack no good thing.

Strong lions represent the strong in this world, they represent those who people revere and look up to when it comes to the things of this world. They are the ones who will be the last to be hungry even when there is farming.

The word of God to you today is that even when strong lions are hungry and suffer lack, you will not lack any good thing if you trust in the Lord. The Lord shall provide your every need according to His riches in glory (see Phil 4:19). You will live in divine health and not be afflicted like the people of this world.

Strong lions of this world have their needs met according to the economy, but your own needs will be met according to the riches of heaven. The riches of heaven have never experienced a recession, there are diseases the riches of this world cannot cure, but there is no disease the riches of heaven cannot cure. It is always increasing. Of the increase of Christ's government and peace, there shall be no end (Isiah 9:7). This means you will only know promotion and never demotion as you keep your heart stayed on the Lord in trust because His ever increasing government is your source of supply.

Go into today remembering that all of God's promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding "Yes!" And through Christ, our "Amen" (which means "Yes") ascends to God for his glory(2 Cor 1:20). You receive these great things from God because of Christ, not because of you. They key is faith in Christ alone.

Prayer: Lord, Help me to believe your word concerning my life and trust in you always. Amen.

DISCERNING DOCTRINES

 🎧Audio Devotional & Bible here☞ http://bit.ly/aud1243

1 Timothy 4:1-2 (NET)
Now the Spirit explicitly says that in the later times some will desert the faith and occupy themselves with deceiving spirits and demonic teachings, influenced by the hypocrisy of liars whose consciences are seared.

When Remi first heard the doctrine that insists that God does not care about her conduct, but only about her faith (as if they can be separated), she was happy because she had been struggling with certain things that came from her old life of sin before she became saved. She now decided to let go and continue in her old way of sin. But it did not take her long to know that the doctrine was a lie because she still tried to be truthful to herself and maintain a clear conscience. She observed that her communion with the Holy Spirit was truncated and her conscience violated.

In the book of Jude, the Holy Spirit commands us to contend for the faith that was once and for all delivered to the saints. This faith is the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is the most holy faith, and not one that engenders unholy living. (See Jude 1:3-23).

When we teach grace, we do not teach license for sin, but empowerment for righteousness. But there are some who could interpret any teaching about the grace of our Lord to mean a license for sin because they are looking for an excuse to sin. But those who seek the power to walk above sin will only find it in the grace of our Lord, and they must be taught about this.

One way of differentiating the false teachings from the genuine is that the genuine empowers God’s people to live above sin, while the false systematically downplays the importance of overcoming sin. (See Heb 12:14).

Ask the Lord to keep you away from false teachers and false doctrines. Ask for the discernment of the Holy Spirit.

GOD WANTS ALL PEOPLE SAVED 2

🎧Audio version with Bible here☞ http://bit.ly/aud1242
Healing prayer for the sick in today's audio

1 Timothy 2:4 (NET)
… [God] wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

Emeka had prayed for the salvation of his brothers for years, but it appeared that things were getting worse and not better.

A time came that he started to entertain the false thought that maybe his brothers were not saved because they were never selected by God for salvation. This thought in his heart weakened his faith and made his prayer for his brothers less powerful.

When he knew that it was God's will for them to be saved, his supplications for them became more powerful and regular, and he started seeing the result. All his brothers eventually became saved.

I have come to learn that the most powerful kind of prayer regarding the salvation of others is the prayer of supplication. Another word for supplication is begging. When it comes to the will and choice of other people, your declarations and demands may not be very effective, but your plea before the throne of God for them is very effective. Only God has the authority to influence the will of people, and we have to make sufficient supplications before His throne to make this happen. If we begin to entertain the false thought that maybe God has not selected a person to be saved, it weakens our faith in prayer for that person’s salvation.

Go into today knowing that one of the reasons God placed you in your family is because He wants you to pray and generate sufficient spiritual license for Him to invade the other members of your family with His salvation.

Prayer: Lord, please help me do my part in facilitating the salvation of my loved ones. Amen.

GOD WANTS ALL PEOPLE SAVED

🎧Audio version here☞ http://bit.ly/aud1241

1 Timothy 2:4-6 (NET)
… since [God] wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one intermediary between God and humanity, Christ Jesus, himself human, who gave himself as a ransom for ALL, revealing God’s purpose at his appointed time.

It is easy to read some portions of scripture and conclude that God does not really want all people to be saved but only a select few. That conclusion is a result of not rightly dividing the word of truth.

One thing we have as beings created in the image and likeness of God is free will. Because of free will God chooses us based on His foreknowledge of the way we would respond to His grace. He is the beginning and the end, He knows all things even before they are revealed in time, and He knows the choices we are going to make even before we were born. He also knows those who will choose to reject His salvation even before they were born, and He has made his choices concerning those who will be saved based on the choices that He knows we will make.

Those of us who have eternal life can influence things like this that have been determined from the realm of eternity. This means you can pray and intercede for someone who was meant to perish, and the person will be saved because you prayed. This means you can preach the gospel to people who would have perished and they will receive salvation from destruction because you preached.

Go into today knowing that there is no one the Lord wants to perish because He died for ALL. God expects you to be an agent through which His salvation reaches people who would have perished in their sins.
Prayer: Lord, make me an effective agent for your salvation. Amen.

YOU HAVE AUTHORITY

🎧Audio version here☞ http://bit.ly/aud1240

Luke 10:19 (KJV)
19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Linda had phobia for dogs. Because of this she found it difficult to visit her sister who had two trained German shepherds. One day she went visiting her sister, the trained dogs happily came to welcome her because she was a familiar face, but she almost fainted and was so terrified that she couldn’t speak. She wanted the dogs to leave her alone, and later managed to tell her sister to 'please drive the dogs away'. Her sister told her to simply instruct the dogs to ‘go away’ and they would obey promptly because they know her to be close to their owner. This she did and the dogs obeyed promptly. She couldn’t believe it.

Demons know the Lord Jesus and tremble at His voice and the mention of His name. Anyone who is in Christ carries the image of Christ, and because demons tremble at the voice of Christ, they will tremble at yours if you walk in the faith of Christ. Demons will never obey the command of people who are not related to Christ, but they have no choice but to obey the voice of Christ. That is the voice they hear when you command them in Jesus’ name. Christ lives in you and they hear the voice of Christ when you command them.

Go into today remembering that absence boldness is usually the problem with Christians, not the absence of power. One of the reasons the lion is greatly feared in the jungle is not just because of its strength, but because of the boldness with which it exerts its strength.

Prayer: Father, please fill my heart with boldness, in Jesus name. Amen.

NEITHER COLD NOR HOT 2

🎧Audio version here☞ http://bit.ly/aud1239

Revelation 3:15-16 (NET)
15 ‘I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either cold or hot! 16 So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I am going to vomit you out of my mouth!

Inside one of the unmarked gifts Uche and Remi received in their wedding, they saw a note tied to a charm, and the note said that they were never going to prosper or have children because they have been cursed. When Remi showed the note to Uche, they both decided that the person who wrote the note must come to them to apologize. They agreed in prayer and commanded the fierce judgment of God upon the person who wrote the note.

Uche and Remi had a surprise visit from Uche’s great aunt. She came to beg them to forgive her because she had been terribly afflicted for weeks. She said she was the one who tried to place a curse on them because Uche refused to marry the girl she chose for him from their village, but disgraced her and married an outsider.

Unfortunately, years after their wedding, Uche and Remi were now spiritually lukewarm because of the cares of this world. They could no longer command the great spiritual authority they once had, and were now fearful people. They didn’t know this until their child was spiritually attacked and they could not help her.

Go into today remembering that becoming lukewarm is one of the worst things that can happen to a Christian. It takes away the power but leaves the form. Samson did not know he had lost the power until he tried to use it in vain (see Judges 16:20). So it is when a Christian becomes lukewarm.

Prayer: Lord, deliver me from every care that seeks to make me lukewarm. Amen.

Neither cold nor hot

🎧Audio version here☞ http://bit.ly/aud1238

Revelation 3:15-16 (NET)
15 ‘I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either cold or hot! 16 So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I am going to vomit you out of my mouth!

When Remi and Uche got married, they were both born again and filled with the Holy Spirit. They both wanted to live their lives to please God and to be His light in their generation. But as times passed, they seemed to be sucked into the system of the world. They started trying to ‘keep up with the Joneses’ and became more and more worldly. They became lukewarm and no more fervent in their love for the Lord. They had now lost the deep seated joy of the Holy Spirit in their hearts and unconsciously tried to replace this joy with the temporary happiness that comes with acquiring worldly possessions.

Notice that when a person becomes lukewarm, it is because he was once hot. How a person stays lukewarm for so long is a mystery. The normal way things should be is that when a person is no more spiritually hot, he becomes lukewarm and then becomes cold, but there are many Christians today who have stayed lukewarm for a long time. This is because they haven’t quite disconnected from the fire of the Holy Spirit, but they are no more fully given to God’s will and kingdom. They now live for the kingdom of God, and for the world.

Go into today remembering that a lukewarm Christian is not a fruitful Christian. A lukewarm Christian is a liability to the kingdom of God because even though he is supposed to be a witness for Christ, God cannot count on him because his loyalty is now divided.

Prayer: Lord, rekindle your fire in my heart today. Amen.

ABBA FATHER

🎧Audio Devotional & Bible here☞ http://bit.ly/aud1237

Rom 8:15 (KJV)
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Ugbede didn’t know that his relationship with God as Father was affected by the bad relationship he had with his biological father. Whenever he thought about God as his father, he didn’t get the right signals in his mind concerning the way God loves and cares for Him. Ugbede’s father never really loved and cared for anyone but himself.

Ugbede received his spiritual breakthrough when he started allowing the Holy Spirit to lead in His relationship with God. He started seeing God through the perspective of the Holy Spirit and no more through the perspective of his experience. This was when he began to understand that God chose him to be His child from before the foundation of the world; that God’s plan for him are only good and never evil. He started understanding the love of God, and each depth of understanding he received made him stronger and holier.

The devil delights in giving children of God a false idea of who God is. If our relationship with God is defined by what the devil suggests and no more by what the Holy Spirit reveals, we are playing in dangerous territory and can get hurt. This was what happened to Eve in the garden of Eden (see Gen 3:4-5).

Go into today remembering that the Holy Spirit is the one who should give us perspective [through the word] for the way we see God, the way we see ourselves and the way we see the world. Never forget that God loved and chose you to become His child from before the foundation of the world (see Eph 1:4). There is nothing that the devil can do about God’s love for you.
