Galatians 2:20 (KJV)
20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Jesus became flesh for a purpose. He came here to condemn sin in the flesh, not merely to eradicate it from the spirit (see Rom 8:3). He also lived here on earth and was tempted in every way, and was without sin (see Heb 4:15). His life was wholly pleasing to God in all things. He did all things well. And that is the life He has given us. His own life; a life wholly pleasing to God in spirit, soul, and body.
New life is not expressed as only eradication of sin from the spirit, but as deliverance from [the law of sin that is in] the flesh. Any teaching that shifts away from how the power of salvation in the spirit-man is seen in the flesh is anti-gospel.
Don't be taken by that theology that claims that because Christ has done everything, you are the finished work and there is nothing further. Don't stifle the work of the Holy Spirit that is transforming us into the same Image as we behold what God has done in Christ in us (see 2 Cor 3:18).
Go into today knowing that there is no way of looking at yourself rather than at Christ in you, without reading the Bible backwards and coming out with all kinds of strange teachings.
Prayer: Heavenly father, Help me to fix my gaze on Jesus alone, and live. Amen.
