That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises
God met Tara at a time of deep, intense prayer in her second year at the university and gave her a promise to bless her financially.
Shortly afterward her finances declined and she came under pressure to borrow money and start a business without the consent of the Lord. The business soon crashed and landed her in debt. This made her psychologically unstable and her grades fell, causing her further delays in other areas of her life.
The pressures of life can make us lose patience in God and seek to establish God's promise by our own ability. Sarah caused Abraham to do this through Hagar, and the child of haste (Ismael) brought great sorrow to the child of promise (Isaac). But realize that God is never late and "he that believes shall not make haste" (Isaiah 28:16c).
Go into today knowing that PATIENCE will deliver to you every PROMISE in God's word that you have received by FAITH. Ask the Lord to cause the fruit of patience to blossom in your heart.
