ETERNAL LIFE

Broadcast 3805
Ephesians 2:4-5 (NIV) But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions - it is by grace you have been saved.

Today's Bible passage speaks of a life that is both spiritual and everlasting. It's important to grasp that our presence in the physical world hinges on our physical vitality. Similarly, to partake in the eternal realm, one must possess eternal life. When the devil and certain angels transgressed, they were banished from God's presence, forfeiting this life. Likewise, when humanity fell into sin, we too were ousted from God's presence and lost our access to eternal life, as sin cannot coexist in the eternal realm.

Through God's boundless love and grace, we are revived alongside Christ. Our sole avenue to eternal life lies in Christ Jesus. This is because God united us with Christ when He rose into eternal life. It is through His name that we gain access to the things of God, for no one can approach the Father except through Christ (see John 14:6).

Embracing eternal life brings a multitude of blessings. It represents the pinnacle of existence, holding sway and superiority over all other spheres of life, including the lower spiritual realms where spirits and demons operate, as well as this three-dimensional physical realm.

As you step into today, recognize that if you're in Christ, you possess a quality of life that even the devil and demons lack. Consequently, you can exercise authority and dominion over them and all their endeavors (see Luke 10:19).

Declaration: Through Christ the Lord, I possess eternal life. I walk in this life in Jesus' name. Amen.

THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD 2

Broadcast 3804
Romans 3:21-22(NET) But now apart from the law the righteousness of God (which is attested by the law and the prophets) has been disclosed - namely, the righteousness of God through the faithfulness of Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction

Growing up in a Christian household, Nkechi was aware of what was wrong, yet she found these things tempting and alluring. However, as she committed herself daily to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, she began to view these same things as repugnant and harmful.

A Christian who allows the Holy Spirit to guide them, as Nkechi did, will find it difficult to revert back to a life of sin.

When you receive Christ as your Lord and Savior, you're inviting Him to take the reins of your life. He resides within you, enabling you to walk in His righteousness, not your own.

God's righteousness instills in us a love for what is right and a disdain for wrongdoing (see Heb 1:9). This aversion to sin acts as a shield against falling into its clutches.

Go into today asking the Lord to fill you afresh. Know that it is only those who are filled with the spirit that will be raptured when the Lord returns.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I implore You to grant me the empowerment of Your Holy Spirit, instilling in me a love for righteousness and a detestation of iniquity. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD 1

Broadcast 3803
Romans 3:21-22 (NET) But now apart from the law the righteousness of God (which is attested by the law and the prophets) has been disclosed - namely, the righteousness of God through the faithfulness of Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction

When Nkechi believed in the Lord Jesus Christ and received the Holy Spirit, she discovered a profound shift within herself. Returning to a life of sin felt like a violation of her very being, disrupting the peace she now held dear. As she delved into the Word, she recognized the birth of a new nature within her, one that radiated pure righteousness. This nature recoiled from sin, leaving her with a sense of dirtiness and guilt whenever she stumbled.

Regrettably, there are many who profess faith in Christ and lay claim to His righteousness, yet their lives reflect the opposite. For some, this pattern has become so ingrained that their consciences have become desensitized, no longer heeding the signals from their renewed spirits. These signals are meant to alert them when their actions stray from the righteous path, urging them to repent.

Righteousness isn't just a concept or a mere title; it's a dynamic force in action. It manifests as a visible way of life, surpassing even the limitations of the law (see Gal 5:21-23). Its standards exceed those of the Law, as it stems from a transformed heart, not just an adoption of rules.

As you step into today, bear in mind that righteousness is a call to action. Jesus came to empower you to walk in His righteousness—a righteousness that springs forth from unwavering faith in Him.

Confession: I am walking in a manner that aligns with the Lord's will. I am bringing Him pleasure in every aspect of my life (see Col 1:10) in the name of Jesus.

GOSPEL, NOT THE LAW

Broadcast 3802
Luke 16:16 (KJV) The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

Remi: why have you shaved your hair?

Juliet: our pastor said the new revelation from the Lord stipulates that I must do this in order to make heaven. There are also fifteen new rules you must keep to be sure to make it. You need to read them.

Remi: New rules? Count me out of that.

One of the reasons John the Baptist is so important is because his coming and ministry marked the beginning of the kingdom era. The kingdom of God is now the heavenly agenda for humankind. Anyone who will be saved now will have to accept the gospel and enter the kingdom of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

It is very sad that today, so many still preach the law rather than the kingdom. The law is characterized by rules and regulations. Obeying them should guarantee salvation, but it does not. The law and the prophets in themselves are not bad, and they came from God. But God brought the gospel because humankind does not have the ability to obey the law according to the spirit of the law. This made the law unable to produce real righteousness in people. The best it produced was self-righteousness which is as filthy rags before the lord. Note that righteousness is worn as a garment before the Lord.

Go into today knowing that the kingdom of God is the best thing that can happen to you. You enter into the kingdom by receiving Christ as your Lord and Savior; and trusting in His righteousness to empower you to be righteous.

Prayer Confession: I am saved by grace, not by law. I am a partaker in God's kingdom because of Christ Jesus. Amen.

WHO DO YOU SERVE? 2

Broadcast 3801
Luke 16:13 (KJV) No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

In life, we face a crucial decision: will we serve mammon or serve God? It's impossible to serve both simultaneously. A choice must be made.

In the earthly realm, the need for money is a dominant reality. We pursue education and skills to secure our livelihoods, which is perfectly fine. However, it's essential to remember that everything we are and possess is meant for the service of God. Our true fulfillment should come from pleasing the Lord rather than amassing great wealth.

A key indicator of whether we're serving mammon or God is to assess what guides our life choices. Do we prioritize making money, even at the expense of our relationship with God?

So, what fuels your journey? Is it a love for money or a love for God? Many who profess to serve God are actually driven by a love for wealth, not a love for Him. The driving force is the pursuit of financial gain. But this should not be our stance.

As you step into today, seek the Lord's help in purifying your heart from any perspective that elevates mammon beyond its rightful place.

Prayer: Beseech the Lord to empower you to serve and please Him in every aspect of your life. Amen.—Abraham Damilola Arigi

WHO DO YOU SERVE?

Broadcast 3800

Luke 16:13 (KJV) No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Dele received a revelation that made him understand he was to serve the Lord in Kaduna. There were several confirmations, and he was sure God wanted him to dwell in Kaduna. Three months later, he got a much better job than his current job. The salary was ten times more, but the only issue was that he would have to relocate to Lagos for the job.

At that point, Dele refused to pray objectively. He was trying to convince himself that the Job was the will of God. He knew in his spirit that taking the job was not God's will, but he took the job after going to seek counsel from a pastor who told him what he wanted to hear.

Dele went to Lagos and walked out of God's will for his life. Dele is an example of a Christian who serves Mammon.

A Christian who serves God realizes that his purpose in life is to serve God; that everything he has was given for him to use to serve God and experience dimensions of God. Such a Christian would get to the point that God Himself would take responsibility for his every need. Nothing of this world becomes so important that it hinders his relationship with God. This is manifested in his willingness to let go of anything that the master demands.

Go into today remembering that we are serving sons of the great God. Do not let your life be defined by the desire to get more money, let it be defined by the desire to please and serve God.

Prayer confession: I am pleasing the Lord in all things. I am serving Him with everything I have, In Jesus' name. Amen.

HOUSEHOLD OF GOD 2

Broadcast 3799
Galatians 6:10 (NKJV) - "Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith."

In today's verse, we're reminded to extend kindness to everyone, but there's a special emphasis on showing love to our fellow believers.

Jesus emphasized this point clearly when He stated that our love for one another would be the mark of our discipleship (John 13:35).

In Matthew 25:41-46, we learn that some individuals will face rebuke from Jesus. These individuals, though identifying as 'Christians,' failed to demonstrate love towards their fellow believers, and as a result, they won't be granted entry into His Kingdom on the final day.

Apostle John, in 1 John 4:20, reinforces this notion by stating that we cannot claim to love God while harboring hatred for our fellow Christian.

Today, make a conscious decision to treat your Christian brethren with the same kindness and consideration you would wish for yourself. This is the essence of esteeming others above yourself (Philippians 2:3).

Prayer: Heavenly Father, grant me the ability to truly love my brethren. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

HOUSEHOLD OF GOD 1

Broadcast 3798
Galatians 6:10 (NKJV) Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

Ugbede was on the lookout for a better job, and his siblings were rallying to assist him in finding a good opportunity. Fortunately, there was an opening in his brother's company for an ICT specialist, a role Ugbede was perfectly suited for in terms of qualifications and experience. Recognizing that many would vie for this position, Ugbede's brother mustered the courage to approach his Managing Director and advocate for Ugbede. That's how Ugbede landed his fantastic new job.

We go out of our way many times to help our earthly brothers and sisters, but many times, we fail to do so for our heavenly brothers and sisters. Many Christians don’t realize that what joins us together as Christians is stronger than flesh and blood.

We are members of the family of God. You were born into this family when you became born again. We should always be conscious of the fact that we belong to God's family and we have brothers and sisters who may need our help.

When you walk in the consciousness of this reality, you are unlocking several possibilities that are only activated when you understand your spiritual identity. Many Christians have not fully taken advantage of the fatherhood of God because they have neglected true brotherhood with His Children.

Go into today determined to treat your Christian brother as your brother indeed.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I ask that you help me obey this word and understand that my first identity is in your Household. Amen.

HOW CAN I BE SURE THAT I BELONG TO GOD?

Broadcast 3797

1 John 2:3 (TLB) - "And how can we be sure that we belong to him? By looking within ourselves: are we really trying to do what he wants us to?"

Nnamdi: Pastor, I want to be certain that I truly belong to God. How can I know for sure?

Pastor Ken: Let's turn to 1 John 2:3 and read it together.

Nnamdi reads today’s Bible text.

Pastor Ken: You see, it's quite straightforward.

Nnamdi, who are you dedicating your life to serve and please? What drives your plans and decisions? For many people, it's worldly pursuits and material gain. They don't realize that God created us in His image for us to live for Him.

When you prioritize living for God and serving Him above all else, you'll find that He provides for your material needs effortlessly. Identifying who your life aims to please ultimately reveals who you truly belong to.

Let's not be misled; you can't wholeheartedly serve both God and worldly pursuits. Your allegiance lies with the one you choose to serve.

Go into today resolved to lead a life that consistently pleases God.

Prayer: Ask the Lord to empower you to bring Him pleasure in every aspect of your life. Amen.

THE GOSPEL MESSAGE

Broadcast 3796
1 John 1:5 (NET) Now this is the gospel message we have heard from him and announce to you: God is light, and in him there is no darkness at all.

At just 19 years old, Damian was already caught in the grip of drug addiction, his life spiraling downwards. Arrested three times, he found himself serving a five-year prison sentence. With no skills, limited education, and hailing from a struggling family, his prospects seemed bleak. Even his own mother harbored doubts about his future, fearing he might end up committing even graver offenses upon his release.

But then, something incredible happened. In prison, Damian accepted the Lord Jesus Christ. It was a turning point. Suddenly, he discovered a newfound ability to concentrate and be productive. Upon his release, he committed to education, working his way through school and advancing to college. Remarkably, he not only excelled but emerged as the top graduate in his class. What's more, he took on leadership roles in his church community.

By the time Damian completed college, many of his childhood friends had met tragic fates – some had passed away, others had disappeared, and a few had returned to prison. Damian, on the other hand, had encountered a Light that altered the course of his life. It banished the darkness that had shrouded his heart since childhood.

God embodies light. When you allow Him into your life, transformation, and glory are inevitable. This is the essence of the gospel: Through Christ, God's light illuminates your life.

When you invite Jesus into every facet of your life, you're ushering in light, and darkness has no choice but to recede.

As you step into today, make a conscious decision to let Jesus reign over every aspect of your existence. Prepare for a magnificent transformation.

Prayer: Thank God for lovingly allowing us to be partakers in His light.

INSPIRATION OF THE ALMIGHTY 2

Broadcast 3795
Job 32:8 (KJV) But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding

Many of the world's achievers have a strong spiritual side. Unfortunately, some have turned to practices like Yoga, seeking to connect with their inner selves. They recognize that the spirit is the channel through which inspiration flows.

In my own life, I've found that my most significant inspirations come during times of prayer in the spirit.

It's intriguing to see in today's verse that the spirit is mentioned before inspiration. This emphasizes that our spirit is where we receive inspiration.

Yesterday, we learned how God blessed Jacob through a dream inspired by God. Many have received profound insights through dreams because they are more attuned to their spirits while asleep, with their bodies less active.

As children of God, we should consistently tap into God's inspiration. This is achieved by being spiritually minded, walking in the spirit, and engaging in regular spiritual communion.

Go into today deciding to actively seek the inspiration God consistently offers your spirit. Recognize that this is the key to unlocking greatness in your life.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I am grateful for the inspiration that grants me understanding. I pray for the ability to walk in the spirit and receive these inspirations. Amen.

INSPIRATION OF THE ALMIGHTY 1

Broadcast 3794

Job 32:8 (KJV) But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

Consider the story of Jacob. He carried the covenant blessing of Abraham, but for many years, he toiled for Laban and was unfairly treated. When it came time for his wages, Jacob proposed a fair arrangement: he would take any sheep or goats that weren't completely white. This way, there would be no suspicion of theft in the future. Laban agreed, but then deceitfully had all the colored and speckled animals removed before Jacob could choose (see Genesis 30:31-35).

In human terms, it seemed impossible for Jacob to prosper under such unfair treatment. However, everything changed when God inspired him through a dream. He moved from relying solely on hard work to embracing God's grace. As a result, he became so blessed that Laban and his sons grew envious.

Often, people expect their rightful rewards from the government or employers, only to be let down. Today, I want to suggest that all you truly need is inspiration from God. Just like Jacob, your blessings will chase after you.

Go into today remembering that any kind of struggle – be it financial, academic, marital, or even spiritual – can come to an end when you walk in God's inspiration.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I seek Your divine inspiration to lead me into my blessings. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

PRACTICING LOVE 2

Broadcast 3793

1 Corinthians 13:1,4 (ESV) If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. Love is patient and kind...

Love is the major distinguishing factor between believers of Christ and unbelievers. This was the commandment that Jesus laid down for us, to love one another just as He loves us.

Apostle John explicitly stated that he who does not love does not know God because God is love. (See 1 John 4:8). This kind of love is not the one shown only to our immediate family members and friends, but the one shown to all, including strangers. Every born-again child of God has the love of God shed abroad in His heart by the Holy Ghost. (See Rom 5:5)

One of the proofs of love is patience. Someone once said that the reason why we need patience is because the other person is not perfect. We expect people to forgive us and overlook our excesses, but we find it difficult to do the same when they hurt us. Patience is a good-natured tolerance of delay or incompetence of another.

Another proof of love is kindness. Kindness means having a tender, considerate, and helpful nature to others. One way to show that we love others is to be kind to them, irrespective of what they have done to us.

Go into today, allowing the love of God to find expression in you by being patient and kind to others, even to those who seem not to deserve it. God loved us even while we were sinners, do the same to others. By so doing, they will see Christ in you.

Prayer: Father, cause your love to find expression in me. Help me to be patient and kind to others, in Jesus' name. Amen,

PRACTICING LOVE

Broadcast 3792
Romans 12:9-11(NET) Love must be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil, cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another with mutual love, showing eagerness in honoring one another.

Tolani found herself with only $15 left for the entire week. Determined to stretch it until her next payday, she crossed paths with Bernice, who seemed in desperate need. Bernice hadn't eaten for two days. Without a second thought, Tolani generously shared half of her money with Sister Bernice. Reflecting on this later, Tolani realized that it was her unwavering faith in God that prompted her to act this way. She saw God at work in her life, providing for all her needs.

The love that truly pleases God is rooted in faith in Him. As it's written, "For in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love" (Galatians 5:6, NET).

Acts of love not rooted in faith in God can be empty gestures. It's crucial to recognize that the kind of love God values doesn't come with expectations of something in return. It seeks the best for others purely out of genuine concern.

Go into today asking the Lord to strengthen your faith so you can authentically love His people. Always remember, God is the ultimate provider in your life. Everything you receive comes from His hand.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I rely on You for my sustenance. Help me walk in this truth daily and express your love. Amen.

OVERCOMING STRONGHOLDS 3

Broadcast 3791
2 Corinthians 10:4 (NLT) We use God's mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments.

Mr. Eze's children often thought of him as very strict, not fully comprehending the reasons behind his stern rules. In their village, Mr. Eze had numerous envious enemies who were willing to harm him by any means necessary. These adversaries had control over the village's trade. Mr. Eze was well aware that they would attempt to harm his children, possibly even by poisoning them. So, he gave his children strict instructions never to consume anything from outside their home. On one occasion, his daughters went against his orders and purchased water on their way home from school. When Mr. Eze discovered this disobedience, he disciplined them severely. He did this to ensure all his children grasped the importance of his instructions.

Then came a day when his eldest son missed the school bus and, hungry because he hadn't eaten breakfast, decided to buy food from a nearby cafeteria. The cafeteria owner convinced him to buy the food at a discounted price. Disobeying his father and eating the food, he thought, "Daddy will understand." Two hours after returning home, he tragically lost his life due to the poisoned meal he had consumed.

"God understands" is a phrase often used by many Christians when they contemplate breaking His commandments. What they might not realize is that God's commandments are given to safeguard our spirits from the corruption that exists in the world. This corruption is the result of the deadly effects of sin.

As you move through today, remember that every commandment the Lord gives is for your own benefit. Challenge any strongholds in your heart that whisper, "God will understand." Understand that it's your spiritual well-being that's at risk when you disobey God's will.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, please help me in breaking down any strongholds in my life. Amen.

OVERCOMING STRONGHOLDS 2

Broadcast 3790
2 Corinthians 10:4-6 (NLT) We use God's mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. 5 We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.

If someone warns you about a certain food being harmful, but you're not convinced, you'll probably keep eating it. However, if you truly believe it's bad for you, you might find yourself not wanting it anymore. The key factor is your belief in the information.

We've discussed before how strongholds are like patterns of thinking that can block God's grace from entering our lives. When you let God's word sink into your spirit and genuinely believe and accept it, it stirs up faith. Through faith, you can tap into God's grace. These strongholds, though, are like arguments in our hearts that hinder us from fully believing and accepting God's word, which keeps our old sinful desires alive.

Finding answers in God's word breaks down these mental barriers. But to get answers, you need to ask questions. I've personally observed that growing Christians tend to ask questions. Trust me, there's a solution in God's word for every question life throws at you.

The Lord encourages us to ask questions. That's why He gave us the Holy Spirit as our teacher and guide; He's here to respond to our inquiries.

As you go about your day, make a decision to dive into God's word for answers to life's questions.

Prayer: Seek the Lord's help in breaking down every mental barrier and removing any lingering desire for sin in your heart.

GIVE TO GOD WHAT BELONGS TO GOD

Broadcast 3789

Matthew 22:20-21(KJV) “And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.”

How can you distinguish between things that are Caesar’s and those that are God’s? This is a question that seems increasingly difficult to answer especially in a society like ours where people no longer believe in moral absolutes. So, what are the things that are Caesar’s, what are the things that are God’s? Or putting it in another way, to whom do you belong dear Christian? These words of Paul “whose I am and whom I serve…” brings to my mind a picture of a man who is totally sold out to God.

Dear Christian, do you have a split personality? Are you “Caesar’s” in the office and “God’s” in the church? Remember that our God is a jealous God, He would not share His own with any other. And you may ask, “so how do I know that I belong to God?” The coin that had the image and superscription of Caesar was Caesar’s property. So whose image and superscription is on you?

Your answer to this question can revolutionize your life. You have the image and superscription of God on you, you belong to Him. He bought you with a price, He has paid in full. He created you in His image, make Him proud. You can’t live like others, you’re not like them, they can be Caesar’s, but you are God’s. Therefore, dear Christian, your life belongs to God, give to God what belongs to God.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for putting your image and superscription on me, help me to live for you today in words, thoughts, and deeds, amen.

NATIONAL TRANSFORMATION

Broadcast 3788

Proverbs 14:34 (KJV) Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.

Most of the top desired destinations of the world today are nations that have experienced the transforming power of Christ at some point in their history. The Western world originally drew its homogenous identity from Christian values. They were not perfect nation-states, but at least their Christianity was strong enough to influence their culture and values. Unfortunately, there's currently a concerted effort to erode these values.

Many Africans who live in Africa grew up in a culture that magnifies the powers of darkness. So much so that it is very hard to truly convince them that all authority in heaven and on earth belongs to Christ. Many believe this in their head, but they don’t really believe it in their heart. That is why in many parts of Africa, we have found a version of Christianity that lacks real power to transform lives. Any form of Christianity that does not radically affect and transform the culture and tradition of people is less than the faith that was once and for all delivered to the saints.

Any Christianity that does not absolutely magnify Christ in the hearts of men is not true Christianity. It may be filled with apparent displays of power and lots of activity, but it lacks the real power of God that transforms sinners into saints. This is the reason so much religion has not brought real national transformation into certain African countries. Real Christianity brings positive desired national transformation. When this transformation happens to a nation, that nation will be exalted above other nations in the world. For righteousness exalts a nation.

Go into today praying for your country. Ask that the transforming power of God’s kingdom will envelop your nation.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I ask that you send your messengers to minister toward the salvation of my nation. Amen.

IT IS BY GRACE: OVERCOMING STRONGHOLDS 1

Broadcast 3787
2 Corinthians 10:4- 6 (NLT) We use God's mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.
Once, Folu faced a severe illness, and it seemed like he might not make it. Ola stood by his side throughout. He prayed for Folu, but he also noticed that Folu seemed to rely more on the doctor's expertise than on the Lord's miraculous healing power. This mindset had been a stronghold that prevented Folu from experiencing God's grace for health and healing throughout his life. Unlike Ola, who never fell ill and never had to take medication, Folu spent a significant amount of money and time on sickness and disease. He couldn't fully embrace God's grace for health because of this stronghold in his mind.

Many Christians are held back from embracing God's grace for health and healing by a similar stronghold. The devil creates this stronghold by showcasing instances where people remained sick or even passed away, despite claiming to have faith in divine healing. They tend to forget that there are also cases where people didn't recover, and in some instances, seeking medical help even led to their death.

Let it be clear, I'm not discrediting medical care and healing. What I'm emphasizing is that God's healing power is genuine. He provides supernatural health and healing that human understanding cannot fathom. Divine health should not be a rare occurrence among God's children. Healing is the children's bread (see Mat 15:22-29, Mark 16:18).

Go into today knowing that grace for divine health is for you. The package of salvation encompasses not only your spiritual well-being but also your physical health and healing (see 1 Pet 2:24).

Prayer: Lord, I ask you to dismantle every stronghold in my life. Amen.

IT IS BY GRACE

Broadcast 3786
Ephesians 2:8-9 (NLT) God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God.
When Sandra first believed in the Lord Jesus, she didn't fully grasp the depth of God's grace. She learned that grace meant receiving undeserved favor, and it was this favor that saved her. However, she didn't realize that grace also meant God giving her the strength and ability to do what He asked of her.

Because of this misunderstanding, Sandra struggled in her Christian journey. She was told to pray for up to an hour every day, but managing even 15 minutes felt like a challenge. Often, she found herself repeating the same prayers multiple times.

A turning point came when Sandra deepened her understanding of God's grace. Suddenly, she tapped into the Lord's strength, enabling her to achieve things she once thought impossible. This transformation occurred as she began listening to sermons on her smartphone, a device previously used mainly for communication and entertainment. Through this, she fed her soul with substantial portions of God's word daily, leading to a richer comprehension of His grace.

Being a Christian isn't possible without the empowering grace of God. This grace is channeled to your spirit through the Holy Spirit, who dwells within you. The more you allow the Holy Spirit to fill you, the more of God's grace you'll experience. This happens as you grow in your understanding of the Lord and become more like Him. Filling your heart with the words of Christ is the way this happens(.

It is through grace that we are saved. It's through grace that we encounter anything that comes from God.

As you step into today, remember that your journey with God is sustained by His grace, and this grace is abundantly available to you through the Holy Spirit.

Prayer: Take a moment to thank the Lord for saving you.
Now, ask our heavenly Father to fill you with the Holy Spirit (see Luke 11:13).

THE FULLNESS OF GOD

Broadcast 3785

Ephesians 3:19 (KJV) And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.

Ola and Folu were friends from childhood. They gave their lives to Jesus at a very tender age and they grew up loving the Lord. They turned out very successful in life.

Ola as a child didn’t take drugs; he believed God was able to heal him. He would always say "by his stripes I am healed". Even when he was stung by a scorpion, he kept repeating those words. He was healed without drugs.

As an adult, Ola never again fell sick.

Folu on the other hand believed that once he had money to treat himself when he fell sick, the Lord healed him through the drugs. His faith in God to provide His needs was strong. Because of this Folu was very wealthy but he spent a lot treating sicknesses.

Both friends chose a dimension of God and it worked for them. But there is more to God than just wealth or health. Jesus has been made the head over all things to us (see Eph 1:22).

Many Christians have limited God and have suffered setbacks in certain areas of their lives. God can be everything to you if you believe Him that much.

Go into today knowing that there are many more dimensions in God that you can manifest if you access them by faith.

Prayer: Lord, I recognize you as Lord over all situations in my life. I stop limiting you and ask that you take over my entire life in Jesus' name. Amen.

INCLUDED IN HIM

Broadcast 3784

2 Corinthians 5:13-16 (NET) For the love of Christ controls us, since we have concluded this, that Christ died for all; therefore all have died. 15 And he died for all so that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised

Many have asked me how they can live lives controlled by the spirit. I have also asked this question several times.

One very important doctrine Christians must never forget is the truth that reveals to us that we were included in Christ when He died, and because of this, we were also included in Him when He resurrected into eternal life. Understanding this truth is the secret to living a victorious life above sin. It is the secret to live a life controlled by the Spirit.

Your old man of sin has been crucified with Christ, therefore it is dead. All that is left is your new man of righteousness which is actually the life of Christ. It is no longer you who lives, but Christ now lives in you. You now no longer live for your own pleasure but for God's pleasure.

Quit thinking that your life belongs to you. Know from today that your whole life now belongs to Christ. Tell yourself this truth until your mind accepts it. Because when this has happened, you will realize that your body no longer belongs to you and you will let Christ control it. This is what it means to accept Christ as your Lord. Lord means owner and controller.

Go into today meditating on this truth:
Gal 2:20-21[NET]: I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So the life I now live in the body, I live because of the faithfulness of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21 I do not set aside God's grace, because if righteousness could come through the law, then Christ died for nothing!

DISCERNING TEMPTATIONS

Broadcast 3783

2 Cor 5:7 (NET) for we live by faith, not by sight.

Jide got a promotion with a transfer. He was very happy, but his joy vanished when he remembered his work in his local church assembly. He remembered that just a few weeks ago, the Lord specifically instructed him to be faithful with his assignment in that assembly; that he was going to be launched to greater heights through his work there. Jide now knew that moving away from the city was not God’s will.

He refused the promotion and was demoted because someone else had already been transferred and promoted to his current position.

As Jide served the Lord in the city, he grew so much in spiritual might that diverse healings were very common in his ministry. He eventually had to resign from his job so that he could cope with the worldwide demand for his ministry.

Every temptation has the goal to drag the tempted away from God’s will. That is why God never tempts us (James 1:13). We may be tempted to do what is wrong, and we can refuse. But when we are tempted to do what seems to be right, how do we discern and handle it?

Let’s remember that our definition of right and wrong is not based on the world’s standards, but based on the standards of God as revealed through His word. When Jesus was tempted by the devil to do things that appeared acceptable and desirable (see Mat 4:1-11), because He had the spirit of God, He could discern and resist the temptations through God’s word.

Acquainting yourself with God’s word builds up your faith, wisdom, and your discernment level.

Go into today remembering that a man whose life is controlled by faith in God will also receive God’s help and guidance in everything.

Prayer: Ask the Lord for grace to always walk by faith. Ask for grace to study and understand God’s word more.

SIN LEADING TO DEATH 2

Broadcast 3782
John 15:1-2 (NET) "I am the true vine and my Father is the gardener. 2 He takes away every branch that does not bear fruit in me. He prunes every branch that bears fruit so that it will bear more fruit

When Jesus spared the adulterous woman who was to be stoned to death, He did it on the premise that everyone there was guilty (see John 8:3-10). There was no point killing a woman who did what everyone was already doing.

The reason why God sanctioned capital punishment in the Old Testament was so that it would prevent the virus of iniquity from spreading among His people. God’s design was that if anyone grew under the system of His Law, it would be very strange for that person to commit certain acts of rebellion like adultery and sorcery, etc. If anyone was found doing such, it proved that the person really hated God, not that the person was pressured into such acts, because the law was to create an environment that would make it strange and abnormal to perpetrate such acts. So in order to stop the virus of iniquity from spreading among God’s people, the offenders were to be killed.

Yesterday, we saw that there is sin that can lead to the Lord allowing believers' lives to be cut short (see 1 John 5:16-17).

In today’s Bible text, Jesus tells us that God takes away any branch in Him that is not fruitful. This doctrine is repeated by the Lord in other places (see Mat 7:19-20, Luke 13:6-9). A Disease can make a branch that is still connected to the vine to be unfruitful. In order to prevent such diseases (of iniquity) from spreading to other branches, the gardener cuts off the unfruitful branch.

Go into today examining your life to see if you have been fruitful in God’s vineyard. Are you spending your time serving God, or are you spending it serving mammon?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, please have mercy on me and purge me from everything that hinders my fruitfulness. Amen.

SIN LEADING TO DEATH 1

Broadcast 3781
1 John 5:16-17(NLT) If you see a Christian brother or sister sinning in a way that does not lead to death, you should pray, and God will give that person life. But there is a sin that leads to death, and I am not saying you should pray for those who commit it. 17 All wicked actions are sin, but not every sin leads to death.
Examine these verses:

Gal 6:8-9: Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. [NLT]

Rev 21:8: "But cowards, unbelievers, the corrupt, murderers, the immoral, those who practice witchcraft, idol worshipers, and all liars—their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."[NLT]

It is quite clear from the scriptures that all sins, whether great or small, lead to spiritual death.

What then was the Apostle of the Lord talking about in today’s Bible text?

In the early church, because of sound kingdom proliferation and understanding, it was quite clear to the brethren that certain sins Christians committed (especially in rebellion) led to their physical death. Ananias and Sapphira died physically because of a wrong spirit they were trying to introduce to the church (see Acts 5:1-11).

I believe this is the reason why Apostle James instructed the saints to confess their sins to one another and invite the Church elders to pray for them if they have a lingering sickness (see James 5:14-16). It was quite common knowledge in the early church that people could get very sick and even die if certain unrepented sins remained in their lives. These sins are the sins that lead to death.

Go into today asking the Lord to deliver you from every sin and stubbornness. Ask the Lord to help you increase daily in spiritual understanding.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I ask for grace to walk perfectly all the days of my life. Amen.

GOD'S TIME

Broadcast 3780

Genesis 1:2-3(KJV) And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Josh finished from the university with a very good grade. His friend Joe got employed immediately but Josh went between unemployment and underemployment for years. Even though he served God the best way he could, it seemed Josh was not getting any reward for his work. He was insulted and called names because he wouldn’t compromise his faith to get a job. There was a good job he missed because he wouldn’t lie about his age.

During His period of waiting, Josh used the time he had to study and learn more of God and further grow spiritually. He also invested time in self and professional improvement.

Eleven years after he graduated school, Josh got a big contract, and everything changed for good. In only a few months, Josh achieved more than all his friends put together.

We can see from today’s Bible text that even though the Holy Spirit was present, the earth was void and in darkness. Does it sound contradictory?

God has his calendar and there are certain things His Spirit does in us during our periods of waiting. They are usually things of preparation for the glory He wants to bring to us. Yielding to the Holy Spirit’s work of purification and preparation shortens the wait period.

Go into today holding on to God. Do not let circumstances control your faith. Let your faith control your circumstances.

Prayer: thank God for what He has done and what He will do. Thank God for His great promises that will come to pass in your life.

HELD SECURELY BY THE LORD

Broadcast 3779

1 John 5:18-19(NLT) We know that God's children do not make a practice of sinning, for God's Son holds them securely, and the evil one cannot touch them. 19 We know that we are children of God and that the world around us is under the control of the evil one.

Be assured today that because you are a child of God, you are held securely by the Lord, and the evil one cannot touch you. He cannot touch your health, your finances, your relationships, your business, your mind, etc.

Many Christians do not walk in this reality because they have not received a revelation of it. Most spiritual realities are experienced because people activate them through revelation knowledge. This knowledge is what produces faith, and your faith is your link to the divine realm and its benefits.

If because of something you did wrong in the past, you are feeling that you are no longer worthy of God’s protection, your uncomfortable feeling is proving that you are truly a child of God. It is proving that you have indeed received a new nature in your spirit that does not [enjoy] sin. The solution is to repent and move on.

Go into today remembering that you are a child of God, and because of this, the evil one cannot touch you.

Prayer: Ask the Lord to empower you to walk in your new spiritual nature so that sin and guilt will no longer hinder you from experiencing the fullness of your divine nature.

Say this confession: I am held securely by the Lord. The evil one cannot touch me. I am blessed by the Lord. Amen.

OUR CONFIDENCE

Broadcast 3778

1 John 5:14-15 (NET) And this is the confidence that we have before him: that whenever we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

Daniel wondered why Femi had so much confidence in the office. It was clear to everyone that unlike them, Femi was not working in fear that he might lose his job. He was bolder and more confident than his colleagues in that branch. This made him excel above them all.

Daniel: Fiona, what do you think gives Femi so much confidence? What is the source of His boldness?’

Fiona: So you haven’t heard? Femi’s uncle is the company's chairman, and Femi has his uncle’s ear.

Daniel: No wonder he is so confident and domineering.

Femi was confident in the office because the Chairman knew and listened to him. Do you know that God the creator and ruler of all things, knows you and listens to you? He is now your father if you have accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

Today’s Bible text reveals to us that our confidence comes from the fact that God hears us.

Go into today with new confidence and boldness to life, because you know that the King of Kings hears you whenever you ask according to His will. The easiest way to know God’s will is by knowing his word.

Pray this Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank you for the privilege of speaking to you. I ask that you help me walk always in this reality. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

KEEP THE DEMONS OUT

Broadcast 3777

John 5:14-15 (NET) After this Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, "Look, you have become well. Don't sin any more, lest anything worse happen to you."

Abu was possessed with unclean spirits and he knew it. His grandmother was a very popular and powerful witch doctor and he was her favorite grandchild. She once told him that he was the one to take her place in the future.

When Abu believed in Christ Jesus, he was delivered from over 40 unclean spirits that possessed him. He knew that even though he loved his wealthy grandma so much, he could not continue going to her for any kind of help. Abu somehow understood that going to his grandma for help would expose him again to the demons that wanted to ruin his life. She would usually give Him a lot of money if he requested, but she would insist that he join her to participate in one or two rituals first.

Yesterday we saw that when an unclean spirit is cast out of a person by the power of God, it cannot come back unless it is invited. The unfortunate thing is that some Christians invite back the evil spirits they have been delivered from. They do so by going back to their old ways of iniquity. Note that anything you do that has a hint of idolatry is usually an express invitation to demons.

As you go into the day, ask the Lord to empower you to walk above every old sin that empowers unclean spirits against you.

Prayer: Thank the Lord for calling you into His glorious light. Ask the Lord for grace to be all that He wants you to be.

CASTING OUT DEMONS

Broadcast 3776

Luke 11:24-26 (NET) “When an unclean spirit goes out of a person, it passes through waterless places looking for rest but not finding any. Then it says, ‘I will return to the home I left.’...

If a child leaves the house, he knows he can still come back. But if a child is sent out of the house, he knows he cannot come back unless he is invited.

Unlike people who use satanic power to deliver people, Jesus was not requesting that demons leave people. He was casting them out with authority, and this was clear to everyone.

If it appears that a false prophet is casting out unclean spirits from people, what he is really doing is to covertly negotiate with the spirits to leave. The unclean spirits would always come back with more wicked spirits because they willfully left and can therefore come back when they want.

I believe this is one proof Jesus was showing to the people who were in doubt about the source of His power to cast out devils (read Luke 11:14-26).

The people must have noticed that, unlike others, when Jesus delivers a person, that person is free indeed; and becomes a productive member of society. But when others (who use demonic power) ‘deliver’ a person, that person is always having to go back to solve a bigger problem.

Go into today remembering that ‘ if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed” (see John 8:36)

Prayer: Thank the Lord for giving you the power to cast out demons.
