2 Peter 1:4 (KJV) "Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust."Daniel not only received divine healing, but as a result of the revelation he gained during his healing process, he no longer fell sick. This was a manifestation of the divine nature in him, which we can call Divine Health. But how did he begin to walk in this divine nature? It was through the power of God’s promises.
During the time he was sick, Daniel studied the Word of God concerning healing and health. As he meditated on certain promises about healing, those promises became Rhema (a living word) to him. He knew he was healed because he heard and received those promises by faith.
Today's Bible verse shows us that it is through God's magnificent promises that we partake in His divine nature. One of the reasons it is essential for believers to know the Scriptures is because they contain God’s promises. It is through these promises that faith is activated, enabling us to manifest the divine nature that the promises reveal.
It is possible to be a believer and not experience certain aspects of the divine nature simply because you are unaware of, or have not received, the promises of God that activate those manifestations. This is why God's people can suffer due to a lack of knowledge (see Hosea 4:6; Job 36:12; Proverbs 5:23; Proverbs 10:21, ESV).
Go into today remembering that God’s promises are the keys that unlock different manifestations of His divine nature in your life.
Prayer: Ask the Lord to help you know and stand on all His promises.
