Jade: What’s the secret to your success in life?

Amber: I consciously walk in God’s blessing every day.

ade: But I’m blessed by God too. Why am I not succeeding like you?

Amber: It’s not just about believing I’m blessed; I declare it every morning and expect to see the blessing manifest in my day. And I do.

Although the children of Israel were already blessed as descendants of Abraham—and were told that obedience to God’s laws would bring blessings (see Deut. 28:2-13)—God still instructed the priests to regularly pronounce blessings over them. This regular affirmation served a purpose: each time they heard the priests declare it, they were reminded that they were blessed. This awareness enabled them to walk confidently in the blessing, creating a culture of strength and assurance. Even today, many Jews have a mindset of excellence and superiority that reflects this heritage.

We too need regular reminders of our blessed state so we can walk in a mindset of blessing. Many Christians struggle to live out their blessing simply because they don’t nurture this “blessed mindset.”

Make it a habit to declare scriptures that remind you of how blessed you are. Start each day with this attitude, expecting things to work in your favor. Ask the Lord to deliver you from any insecurity or feelings of inferiority.

Go into today with the expectation that God’s blessing surrounds you. If God says you are blessed, it is wrong to think otherwise.
