John 11:25 (NLT) Jesus told her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying.
The resurrection of Jesus brings believers into a life of power and hope that goes beyond anything we can imagine in this earthly life. When Lazarus was raised from the dead, he returned to his old body, one that would eventually face death again. But Jesus’ resurrection was different. He rose with a glorified body that would never die—a body not bound by time, space, or the physical limitations we experience now.
This glorious transformation is our ultimate hope as believers. Romans 8:19 tells us that “all creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.” This means our true nature, as sons of God, will only be fully seen when we are clothed in glorified bodies. These eternal, heavenly bodies will no longer be subject to pain, death, or decay; they’ll reveal God’s full intention for His children.
The redemption of our bodies, as described in Philippians 3:21, will be the final step in our journey as believers, making us fully equipped to rule and reign with Christ.
Jesus' resurrection was not only about conquering death but also about opening the door to a new kind of life—one that starts now and continues into eternity. While we wait for the fulfillment of this promise, we are empowered to live with the resurrected life of Jesus within us, breaking free from sin and embracing the abundant life He offers.
Go into today with the assurance that the resurrection power of Christ is working in you now, transforming you and preparing you for an eternal life with Him.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for the resurrection power that lives in me. Help me to walk in this power daily and live in anticipation of the glorious life You have promised. Amen.—Abraham Damilola Arigi
