Romans 8:3-4 (NET) "For God achieved what the law could not do because it was weakened through the flesh. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and concerning sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, so that the righteous requirement of the law may be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit."

Walking in the Spirit is the result of believing in Christ and being properly discipled. Discipleship trains believers in the foundational principles of the faith, enabling them to live by the Spirit rather than by the flesh. Our adversary, Satan, is always searching for grounds to accuse and afflict us. However, when we walk in the Spirit, he loses any valid accusation against us. For “there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit” (Romans 8:1).

Walking in the Spirit means living according to the divine nature, while walking in the flesh means living according to the fallen Adamic nature. God's eternal laws stem from His perfect nature. When you walk in the Spirit, you naturally fulfill the righteous requirements of His law, leaving no room for the enemy to accuse or afflict you.

Go into today with the assurance that you have been born again, equipped, and empowered to walk in the Spirit.
Prayer: Ask the Lord to reveal areas in your life where adjustments are needed so you can walk more fully in His nature.
